The LAPS sponsor program lets you help even if you can't adopt. It's a way to make sure a homeless cat has all the care and comforts possible, without the responsibities that go along with adoption.
As a no-kill shelter, LAPS provides housing and care to our cats for an indefinite period of time. Unfortunartely, some of the cats at our shelter may be hard to adopt into good homes due to age, temperament, chronic disability, etc. As long as a good quality of life — including comfort and care — can be given to the cat, it has a home at the shelter.
Our commitment is to offer our residents proper veterinary care, vaccines, a healthy diet, a variety of stimulating activities (grooming, play and exercise), and of course, sterilization surgery (spay or neuter). The sponsor program provides us with funding to help continue our commitment to the cats residing at our shelter.
How does it work?
- Choose a cat to sponsor (or we can choose one for you).
- We'll provide you a photo of your sponsored cat, along with any other info you would like about him or her.
- Your sponsorship of $15 per month goes to the care of your cat.
- If your cat is adopted, we'll notify you, and hopefully you will elect to sponsor another one of our deserving residents.
Thank you for supporting LAPS!
