We will accept donations of items and baked goods (we can wrap and price) at Pine Street United Methodist Church on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.- Items we will accept that are clean and not damaged or broken: Dishes - Kitchen Items & small appliances that work - Holiday Decorations - DVD's - Framed Art – Craft Supplies – Patio/Outdoor Furniture – Camping & Gardening supplies – Man cave items - Linens and rugs – Toys and Games – Jewelry – Shoes and Boots – Purses & Totes – Unopened makeup & toiletries
- We're sorry but the following items will NOT be accepted: Clothing - Stuffed animals - Large appliances - Large exercise equipment - Computers and computer software and printers - Travel mugs, plastic Sippy cups and tumblers – plastic insulated water bottles - Large furniture – Used makeup & toiletries - Televisions – Used Candles & holders – beta fish flower vases – outdoor garden plants – strands of tangled Xmas lights – VHS tapes We do not accept these items because we have found over the years that they do not sell. Any donated items that are dirty, broken, missing parts, and are not sellable, must be bagged up and taken back to the LAPS facility. Disposal of this garbage, that generally fills a dumpster, ends up costing LAPS money that we need to take care of the cats.
- Pixie — One of our residents, Pixie, had to recently undergo expensive surgery to save her life. We are trying to raise money to cover the cost of her surgery. Donate for Pixie.
- Cans for Cats — Williamsport area residents, donate your used aluminum cans! LAPS recycles cans year-round. Please drop them off at the shelter (630 Wildwood Blvd, Williamsport, PA 17701). You may leave your cans (aluminum only — no steel) outside the shelter doors if no one is there when you arrive. If you want to set up a time to drop them off, please call (570) 327-8707 and leave your name, phone number, and a time when you can be contacted. If you have more than you are able to bring yourself, please call and we will arrange a time to pick them up from you.
LAPS is always looking for new volunteers. If you are crafty, like to bake, or just want to donate some time to work at a fundraising event, please call LAPS at (570) 327-8707 to volunteer or email us at lapsshelter@gmail.com.
Your assistance is needed and greatly appreciated.
