LAPS has moved out of our facility at 195 Phillips Park Dr, South Williamsport. Our new facility is located at 630 Wildwood Blvd, Williamsport.
A huge thank you to our wonderful fosters, our dedicated volunteers, and to Red Dog Mobile Storage. Every one of you has helped make this monumental task a success!
LAPS has many wonderful cats that would love to have an opportunity to meet you and win your heart.
Please stop by during our visiting hours, or contact us at lapsshelter@gmail.com or (570) 327-8707 to set up a time to visit the shelter.
All of our residents are:
- Given a physical at the vet's
- Tested for feline leukemia and FIV
- Kept current on rabies and distemper vaccinations
- Spayed/neutered
- For young kittens, the adopter is given a certificate to present to a participating veterinarian who will perform the operation at no extra cost when the kitten is old enough.
The Adoption Process
LAPS wants to ensure that our residents never again have to worry about being homeless. We have a very simple adoption form that we ask potential adopters to complete and sign, with some questions concerning the adopter's residence (own, rent, etc.), some basic questions about animal care and needs, etc. We also ask that you sign a form that states you will provide a home for the lifetime of the cat or will return him/her to the LAPS shelter.
Adoption Fees
Adoption fees help offset the cost of the vetting and care listed above.
- Cats older than 6 months: $75
- Kittens 6 months and younger: $100
Cats Available for Adoption
